The S'Mores Recipe made for a New Yorker...or anyone else thats scared of the woods.
I love S’mores. I think they are the ultimate summer dessert (of course next to strawberry shortcake). For our BBQ with friend I offered to bring dessert. I decided to make some easy oven baked s’mores to kick off the first bbq of the season. Easiest dessert ever.
Line baking sheet with graham crackers.
Put Marshmallows on half of the graham crackers (I used these awesome Marshmallows that were already rectangle shaped and perfect for this project. However mini will do the trick too.)
Put in a preheated oven (400 degrees) and cook for about 5 mins. Keep a close eye on them. Once marshmallows start to brown, take em out.
Place a few chocolate on the marshmallow (the will melt)
Sandwich up the two halves.
In a double broiler, melt the rest of the chocolate chips. Dip half of the s’mores in the melted chocolate. Place back on baking sheet.
Place in refrigerator to harden. Store in containers in the fridge and take them out about 20 min before wanting to eat. They will adjust to room temperature and no lie taste like you just made them.
