New york Fashion week Party & Pre launch coverage for Altuzarra for Target
This is event was aesthetically my favorite from this year's fashion week. I arrived just as the sun was setting over the West Side highway.
As I entered the venue it felt like a starry night sky was brought down to you. There were thousands of mini lights illuminating the ceiling, it was beautiful. Inside the main room were "mini rooms" made of mirrors and more lights housing the collection. When you entered them and looked either down or up, you felt as if you were in a kaleidoscope. As you can imagine people were selfie crazed in here.
In order to get to the shop they had set up for the collection you had to walk down winding, dark curtained hallways. Every few feet a gentleman in a tuxedo was reassuring you were not going to get lost in a black hole and to keep going. Finally you made another turn and entered into a giant room with the entire collection on racks and racks just waiting for you to discover your favs. This is when most attendees lost that "NYFW Im so chic composure" and started scoping out the shoes like kids in a candy store.
