The Menu for Brunch...Skinny Girl Products

About three months ago my group of girlfriends decided to start a monthly brunch. With crazy schedules, day jobs, passions we are pursuing, and school - life was getting in the way. We really had not been seeing one another regulalry. If we set a date we knew we would commit. Our first Brunch was in March and with the exception of one month we have been going strong. Every month someone takes a turn "hosting" at their apartment. They choose the menu for brunch and tell us what else to bring. If that month/week is too hectic she has to plan the day, pick the restaurant and make the reservation.

For my month I decided to host at my apartment. One month prior I had met a contact from SkinnyGirl Products at NYFW and we started talking about "The Girls Brunch". She offered to provide some of their new Skinny Girl Wine & Tangerine Flavored Vodka for the brunch.

Originally I had set out with a tea party theme. A month prior I had been "pinning" like crazy and then the week before was overwhelmed. I decided it didn't have to be Pinterest perfect, this was supposed to be fun. I used my original theme as a guide and I'm happy with the results.

The menu for brunch included roast beef & watercress sandwiches, cheese platter, chocolate cupcakes, madeleines, bacon clubs, banana bread, cucumbers with deviled egg, tea, cookies and lots of cocktails. We were so hungry that I had to stop everyone from digging it to take some quick photos.

My friend Ryan setup a Mimosa station with mini bottles for each woman to take home. She made a pitcher of Mimosa's using the Skinny Girl Prosseco. Ryan also made soy candles in teacups the night before as a take home (this is what happens when you tell your interior design/stylist friend your theme). We ate way too much food and all ended up "resting our eyes" for a few minutes on the couch. Ryan wasn't sleeping though..she swears.

I sourced a lot of my ideas for this brunch from Pinterest. Skinny Girl Products provided me with some recipes which I have included below. One of the reasons I took Skinny Girl up on their generous offer was because I'm a fan of their line. In 1.5 oz (1 shot) there are 76 calories in SkinnyGirl vodka. You can choose to go with sugar free options for mixers, or not. That's up to you and your dietary preference. Both my sugar free and full sugar drinks were hits!
