The Louis Vuitton Exhibit NYC: VOLEZ, VOGUEZ, VOYAGEZ

I had the opportunity to attend VOLEZ, VOGUEZ, VOYAGEZ : The Louis Vuitton Exhibit in NYC. The exhibit is open to the public and admission is free. It runs until January 7th, 2018 - reservations can be made on their website.

Curated by Olivier Saillard, the exhibition retraces the adventure of the House of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to the present. A story told through the portraits of its founders, as well as those who today are inventing the Louis Vuitton of tomorrow

For the NYC exhibit, the curators have added the celebrity style room (my favorite room of this experience). Where you will find Elizabeth Taylor's & Lauren Bacall's personal pieces on display. Some of “the most famous” outfits worn on the red carpet and the runway by celebrities throughout the Marc Jacobs and Nicolas Ghesquière years, can be seen up close. Selections include Madonna’s 2009 Met Gala dress, Julianne Moore’s 2014 Cannes Film Festival gown, Nicole Kidman’s 2015 Oscars gown, Alicia Vikander’s 2016 Oscars gown, Taylor Swift’s 2016 Met Gala cocktail dress and Ruth Negga’s 2017 Golden Globes gown. The visit is well worth it for the avid L.V. collector, learning the history of the brand and the innovation and development of their luggage and bags. You can book your tickets to the experience via Louis Vuitton's site

In conjunction with the exhibit, Louis Vuitton is running a retail store on location where you can try all of their fragrances. Running through March, a pop-up store at Brookfield Place allows customers to design their own bag and personalize it with patches and accessories.
